Hi @cameron, it would be great if you could offer some sort of roadmap or perhaps issue prioritization labels so we can better understand your thinking for future Squirt development.

Thanks so much for everything you've made so far. :smiley_cat:

Hey David! I think this is a great idea. Apologies to you and the rest of those who have attempted to get involved for my lack of engagement—I've simply not had the bandwidth for the past ten days.

I'm very near to releasing a significant update to the codebase, as well as clearer thoughts on where Squirt is headed.

Thanks for getting involved!

Hey @cameron, I was looking into approaching some of the open issues, however, if you are updating the repo soon, I will park that work until then.

Feel free to ping me once the codebase is updated (maybe also tag it with a version number).

Will do. I'm scrambling to wrap up my work so you delightful people can get involved.

Sounds great :-)

Hey guys—sorry I'm doing such a bad job of keeping you warm! Have had a crazy few weeks :) I'm basically done with (some of) the changes I wanted to make, and my next step is to deploy them to squirt.io and this repo so we can start moving forward together.

cameron commented 10 years ago

Hey guys! Just pushed a big batch of updates to squirt.io. They'll show up here in the public repo in the next few days.

Regarding roadmap, some features that jump out of asana at me:

Just so you're not caught by surprise, I plan to turn Squirt into a freemium product by charging for some combination of a Read It Later service, a PDF reading service, and a mobile interface. The bookmarklet in its current conception will remain free and open-source :)

Would love to hear what you're thinking!
