3 years ago For this there is also the option of using the benefit/cost of pollutant avoidance from Hernández-Sancho et. al. and include a sensitivity analysis to capture the importance of environmental benefit in the implementation of the technology. This will help to support the use of the technology, even if the LCOW is higher than the cost of water, connecting this to comment 2.9 (#36).
Page 9, lines 22-23: The authors say this was not considered yet they provide an equation for calculating the externalities in the supplementary information. If equation 10 in the supplementary information is still valid but wasn’t used due to lack of data, it would be helpful to mention it in the supplementary information as well.
