Opening Browser freezes QGIs #40

Since a few versions(at least 3.26 ) opening the browser freezes qgis comletely This only happens with this plugin, opening other browser windows works fine.

Tried with 2.0.1 and the experimental, not network drives connected

Sorry but I did not managed to reproduce.

I tried with :

SpreadSheetLayers Plugin 2.0.1 and 2.1.0-alpha1 QGIS 3.26 and 3.28 on Window 10

Unfortunately I don't know how to see any logs of what is happening If I put the path to the file by copy paste, it works fine.

I have the browser freezing QGIS as a problem for a few times in QGIS in genereal now, so maybe it's related?

Sadly, I couldn’t reproduce it with Qgis 3.22.14 on Debian 11.6 Bullseye. I’ll try it on Windows at work tomorrow.
