Google is serving now the APIv3 instead of APIv2, with Firefox the old GStreetviewClient function call seems to be linked to the new function call, but this doesnt seem to work with IE but in all cases, either we get js error or some pieces of code are not executed anymore
Have a look at http://map.cartoriviera.ch to see how we set a workaround until plugin will be fixed
Are you going to do something for the 1.4
release?
The final 1.4 release will be out very very soon. It won't include a fix to the street view plugin to handle the version 3 of the API.
The work-around suggested by @gnerred is technically and legally stronger than the plugin. We can of course further discuss this point after the release.
+1 for @bquartier
SITN has developed something similar to @gnerred, see https://github.com/camptocamp/sitn_c2cgeoportal/pull/519 if you need it (for those who have access...)
Ok, thank you for the feedback and the workaround.
Can I close this ticket ans also #426 ?
I don't know, maybe keep it open to discuss about this point after the release, as @bquartier said (because it's a nice feature).
The #426 is related to the presence of those two panels...
So maybe remove them of the 1.4 milestone?
I would say that we have to update the plugin to work with version 3 of API. I would let this ticket open until it's done. This plugin was much appreciated by our users, It is a pity to replace it with the workaround... What is the opinion of GeoMapFish members ? Maybe we have to discuss it in our next meeting.
+1 @gnerred
Should be fixed
In 1.5
Tested on multiple portals with multiple browsers...
