User Problem
With previous iterations of the Process Instance Migration functionality, we support the most common BPMN elements that might be active when needed to migrate to the new version of a definition. Still, customers run into situations when they need to modify the instance and then migrate it as a workaround to missing supported elements in migration functionality.
When process instances with these elements run into problems with the process definition, customers need to change the definition and deploy a new version. In this case, they want to use the latest improvements in the process and migrate already running instances.
