Enable Document Processing with Connectors: With large data handling support, we are enabling a proper support of document processes with connectors.
Experience seamless document handling with our Camunda Connectors SDK, enabling users to efficiently manage, store, and process large volumes of data across various storage systems
User Problem
Users need a flexible and efficient way to handle large volumes of binary data, such as PDFs and images, within their business processes while adhering to Camunda best practices. Currently there is no userfriendly way to pass documents or large contents from one bpmn element to another. The user shouldn't store those large data in a process variable.
There is currently no option for using references.
User Stories
High-Level User Stories:
As a business process owner, I want to easily integrate various storage systems with the Camunda Connectors, so that I can manage and process large volumes of binary data, such as PDFs and images, without compromising the efficiency of my processes.
As a developer, I need a connector that is storage layer agnostic, allowing me to read and write binary data from various external storage systems, such as Google Drive, without requiring significant customization for each platform.
As a developer, i want to use references to link documents from one source to another. Example: ref:OneDrive:[UNIQUE_FILE_ID]
