Version 3.0.1 of the CATS 3.0 OIDC profile added a requirement to support RP-initiated logout. The requirement was recommended rather than mandatory as there was concern at the time that some RPs did not support it. However, this has become less of a concern more recently and it is proposed to make RP-initiated logout mandatory for RPs.
