add badges to repo readme #109

We should consider adding badges to the readme. They help convey the status of repo quickly. There are some examples on the nmdc-schema and nmdc-ontology repos that we can make use of.

@wdduncan Thanks for this suggestion! I've only added CircleCI badges in the past and they were pretty easy to add.
