I am using Telomerecat to estimate telomere length in two different healthy donor blood samples.
I have high coverage WGS data for both samples.
On running Telomerecat, I get the following telomere lengths:
D27H: 3132.9 bp (too short)
D28H: 26131.3 bp (expected range)
I ran telomerecat separately on these samples.
When I ran the samples as a batch, i got the following lengths:
D27H: 3139.9 bp
D28H: 5708.7
Then I tried to run D27H again, i got the following length:
D27H: 3132.9 bp
Can you please explain the discrepancies I am seeing and why the telomere length is short for D27H?
D27H is 21Y and therefore age cannot explain this.
