Update 3rd party code prior to next release. #207

We should look into making sure that the latest versions of editarea and,
possibly, jquery (with various plugins) are incorporated into the next
release (1.0).

jquery and editarea have now been upgraded.  Speed seems to have improved.  
However,
the single step pdb now requires a toggled editor to work.

Issue considered "fixed".
