Nerd Fonts still using old Ubuntu font

The Nerd Fonts project, which repackages existing fonts to include many new symbols and emojis, is still using the old Ubuntu fonts as the basis for the Ubuntu Nerd Fonts. As a result, the Ubuntu Nerd Fonts looks out of place and inconsistent with the Ubuntu fonts included in new Ubuntu installations.

It would be great if the Ubuntu Font ttf files in the Nerd Fonts repo could be updated to use the new Ubuntu Font.
