UbuCon
Ubuntu Summit
I'm one of a handful of staff attending the Ubuntu Summit next week and because it's pretty new, the name isn't yet firmly imprinted in my mind: I still think of it as "UDS-alike". When I was uncertain of the name, I went through all four categories to find it. (It didn't help me that we hide some events that are only two weeks in the future but show events from a year ago. That's the previous issue, though.)
I think Community Conferences could be renamed Externally-organized Events. (After-all, our Ubuntu Summit and UbuCon are events we run for our community.)
I'm not sure the distinction between UbuCon and Ubuntu Summit is useful to most of us; please consider merging these two categories. If there's a good reason to keep them separate that I don't see, that's fine, but if not please consider simplifying this menu of choices.
Hello, similar to but slightly different than my previous issue about it being more difficult than it could be to find an upcoming sprint (https://github.com/canonical/canonical-indico-customization-files/issues/19) I'd like to suggest that the categories on https://events.canonical.com/ are a bit confusing:
