Can't enable Require apps to ask for system permissions on Kubuntu Oracular #66

Hello, I'm using Kubuntu 24.10 (installed from daily ISO and fully updated). I installed the desktop-security-center to take a look and I tried to enable the "Require apps to ask for system permissions" which seems to be the only button at the moment. After entering the root password, it does nothing and I can't enable that option. See the screencast attached

Did you also install the prompting-client snap? Both are required to enable the feature (details are in the announcement post on discourse here: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/ubuntu-desktop-s-24-10-dev-cycle-part-5-introducing-permissions-prompting/47963/)

Hello, thanks for the quick reply. I did not install the prompting-client, now I've installed it and that option works fine. Thanks!

Fab!

If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest reading the discourse post as it goes into a fair amount of detail on what to expect from the feature at this early stage. There is a link to the post within the security center itself as well if you need to find it at a later date 👍
