Please consider this PR as a starting point for official packaging for the new 555.58 driver. It is little more than a find and replace.

Explicit sync has solved all of my issues with UI lagging using a Wayland / KDE plama desktop.

Being a new feature branch, we are not currently planning on adding the 555 branch to our pool of drivers.
