Backport dtb kernel-assets changes to the UC18 branches. #70

Backporting the necessary DTB changes from #66 for UC18 gadgets (see original PR for more info).

Hey Dave! If you could cherry-pick that to the 18-armhf branch, would be awesome. Since I think that's the only one remaining, since 20-arm64 and 20-armhf are done, and I don't think we really care about the 16 gadgets (they're handled by separate repos) - we can revisit UC16 at some later point.

I'll merge this and block auto-promotion of the pi gadgets for UC18 so that this stays in edge for now.
