EA Launcher hangs when launching games #294

Is this a Steam Snap-specific issue?

Current Behavior

When trying to play a game that requires the EA Launcher, such as Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the EA launcher will install fine but will subsequently hang when trying to launch games, only showing an empty purple-grey rectangle.

Expected Behavior

When launching using the Steam flatpak or deb, the purple-grey rectangle would show text and then launch the game after a few seconds.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Install Mass Effect: Legendary Edition or any other game that requires the EA Launcher (I believe the Sims 4 does, and is free to play)
  2. Launch the game
  3. Observe that the launcher will install install, but eventually hang on an empty purple-grey rectangle.
  4. Subsequent game launches will also hang on this screen

If not already, this may work now with 2.64 snapd. You can try by refreshing snapd with snap refresh snapd --edge (and restarting). Make sure to go back to stable after testing with snap refresh snapd --stable.
