I was able to launch and play Fallout 4 with Proton 7.0-3, but not Proton Experimental. However, Cyberpunk 2077 ran into the Dxvk error both on Proton 7.0-3 and Proton Experimental.
I randomly get this same exact error with Fallout New Vegas, although weirdly it only started doing this recently, so it might be a mod, although for the life of me I can't figure out which
@thatLeaflet can you please try this again with steam from the edge channel?
@kenvandine Unfortunately can't, I currently don't have an Ubuntu install.

Are your Proton installs on main HDD or on an external device? (i mean Proton itself, not the games)
If not already, this may work now with 2.64 snapd. You can try by refreshing snapd with snap refresh snapd --edge
(and restarting). Make sure to go back to stable after testing with snap refresh snapd --stable
.
Describe the bug Note: I first reported this bug in this thread, but am making it into a new report because it seems unrelated to the /mnt issue as it occurs whether the game is in /mnt or in my home directory.
When trying to launch any Proton game, the game immediately terminates due to a dxvk:DxvkError. At most, I can get a quick glance at the game's installer. So far, the games I've tested are: Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3, and My Name is Mayo.
