Seems to be missing confirmation after installation #1725

After installation of Ubuntu 23.04 (Lunar Lobster) I was left with a desktop with no indication the installation was successful. The desktop had an "Install Ubuntu" which suggested to me it had failed. However, after reboot it worked as installed. The "Install Ubuntu" icon was no longer present.

Didn't this screen appear for you at the end of the installation?

Next time have a look in /var/crash/ ?

I didn't see the screen. I didn't look in /var/crash, but there didn't seem to be any crash reported in the journal.

Checking /var/crash today only shows a crash for gnome-shell. I'm guessing I might have just accidentally clicked through the last screen somehow?

Either an accident or perhaps killed due to OOM if the VM had less than 4GB RAM?

We have plans to adjust the OOM score but might need help from Subiquity because the GUI is running as a non-privileged user:
