Maximum transmission unit is the the size (in bytes or octets) of the largest PDU (protocol data unit) that a layer can pass onwards. MTU usually appear in the NIC interface or serial ports. Although, a larger MTU give more advantages, it may leads some downsite like being more lag, restranmittion of entire package.
