blog photos load slowly #57

The photos on the blog page load really slowly. Are they really large files?

They are currently really large files. In thumbnail mode they are only shown at 300x170. I've edited them down to 600x340 (so we can show them a little large in the content if we'd like) using the Pixlr Editor directly from Google Drive.
