Hey @gregcaporaso — you can ignore the changes to CONTRIBUTING.md (these are the same changes from the last PR but for some reason aren't appearing as merged).

The README changes are all minor and the same change — a number of datasets need to use reverse_complement_mapping_barcodes, not reverse_complement_barcodes.

The main change in this PR is the addition of mock-17. I do not have gene annotations yet, only taxonomy.
