I've played with the config file, and it seems that you must close and start again the emulator, to really see modified settings, reset won't take them into account, perhaps the stop start vm should, but stopping the emu and starting it again do really show and updated config file.
Also even if a game device is set into the config file at launch, when you go to device, it's always empty. If you set something and comeback it still empty?
