Do you see /dev/js0? Or /dev/input/js0?
Mine is /dev/input/js0
Using the linux version on the steam deck, the controls don't work but the touch screen does interact with games if that helps. Is there a fix for the linux version planned?
Hi,
Yes, it seems that no controller works. Tried a GameCube one. Also i would be nice to have the possibility to set the joypad button, sort of gui for the different joystick type. Anyway seems there is no way to use it on linux actually except with keyboard.
I want to fix it, but my problem is it works with no issue on my Linux on VirtualBox. I need to take time and set up a computer that runs Linux natively to see if I can re-produce the problem in my environment. I'll get it fixed as soon as I can re-create the control issue.
I've been experiencing this issue on Arch Linux and have had some success today.
I tried three different controllers:
Tsugaru_CUI
with the option -GAMEPORT0 ANA0
to specify analog input. If you experience button input working but joystick/d-pad input is not, it is likely that your gamepad has an analog joystick/d-pad and Tsugaru is handling it as digital. I have a suspicion that this may be the issue @Ardend experienced on the steam deck.-GAMEPORT0 ANA0
, the controller worked perfectly with Tsugaru. Note that Dolphin requires the adapter to be in Wii mode, so if your controller is working with Dolphin, you need to flick the switch.
I have tried several xbox, sony and generic controllers and none of them work.
