Use the NZ ambition and implementation gaps from the NZ report. Rethink how it is done right now in the tool.

Maybe add gaps on both 2030 and 2050 (as they do in the NZ report)

Sorry, I'm partially making notes here for myself :-) I'll send you the link as soon as it is out, but colleagues of mine (and myself) wrote an NetZero Report, that will be an annual thing from now on. Physical copies will also be handed out at the COP next week, and there will be a reference to CABE. Hence our deadline.

A preliminary version of the main figure is here. You can see that there is an NDC gap and an implementation gap to net-zero. We can try to mimick this, but maybe not a rush for now.

that's a nice figure! Maybe for starters we could add that in the FAQ? And state that in a future version we are planning to diplay the gaps analogously?

Yes, that sounds like a good plan. I'll put this in the Texts #97 issue and we can put this one on the long-term, as I see that there are no gaps anymore in the tool itself.

I removed the NDC gap in the Global page for now, as there is no reference to it in the Annual NetZero Report. There is only the Implementation gap in the tool now.
