Huddle session: The role of granular data transparency in utility decarbonization

Session description: This Huddle will explore the growing role of granular data in the clean energy transition. The session will start with an overview of why granular energy data is important and how demand for this data is increasing. This will be followed by a discussion of the actions that utilities can take to make this data more accessible. Google and Granular Energy will share examples of these initiatives in practice, including “transition tariffs”, hourly matching, and industry standards. The session will conclude with a group discussion of the implications, challenges and opportunities.
