Interactive Tag

Research & Reasoning

Interactive Tag is currently a unique variation of Tag within the Watson Health Pattern & Asset Library (PAL) today, but is not specific to health.
Interactive Tag allows the users to interact with tags that link to or perform an action. The current Tag component within Carbon is not interactive & missing hover/focus/disable states.
Interactive Tag is currently part of the Chatbot Pattern
There are a number of use cases across Watson Health where Interactive Tag is currently used.
When refining a search or choosing from a predefined set of keywords a user can add or delete tag's from their search criteria.
A user adds search criteria why is associated with a value within the Worklist data table. In addition selected filter criteria show up here as well to display what defines these results.

@designertyler I wanted to follow up & see what additional information you might need for these contributions to make a determination on whether or not these are contributions that Carbon might accept?

Thanks for your Slack response Tyler. I wanted to check in to see if there was any decision made on any of these issues. As I mentioned what Carbon decides determines our next steps & with no decision it becomes a bit of a blocker.

Are you seeing this as a separate component or a variant of Carbon tag? We have a start to interactivity with our tag filter variant https://www.carbondesignsystem.com/components/tag/code#tag-filter

This is issue is extending the functionality of the tag.

Selectable tag is a different component, with different markup & use-cases. @elizabethsjudd suggested that these should be separate issues because the code is different.
