The Dotcom team is close to launch for our brand new code, along with our revamped v2 Figma library. Unfortunately, the library's type tokens were disconnected right in the middle of this project.
We're looking to reconnect the type tokens in the Dotcom v2 Figma kit with the type tokens in the(v11) Text Styles - IBM Design Language library. This way, the library has all the right connections for launch!
The solution
[ ] Component by component - need to update the disconnected type token with the proper v11 type token in (v11) Text Styles - IBM Design Language.
[ ] Make sure each variant also has the proper type token. Some pages will have a few components out, I would focus only on the ones with the below artboard frame:
[ ] Reference the below Dotcom v2 or v1 specs. If a v1 spec, reference the v11 type migration table to get the updated v11 type token.
[ ] The tricky tokens to look out for are the fluid type tokens, because these change their Figma token based on breakpoint. When updating the fluid type tokens, just make sure they're matched by breakpoint (ex. content block uses a $fluid-heading-05 token, but in Figma there are five of that token, one for each breakpoint.
