"Is one of these an attic room or loft conversion?" doesn't do anything #13

The question Is one of these an attic room or loft conversion? and the extra question When was this attic space or loft conversion built or last refurbished? don't affect the calculations. I guess when the answer to the first one is yes then we need to add a loft, the question is which u-values shall we use. Options given:

Sorry forget about this

I know I closed this issue but it was because I already had the answer to the question of u-values for attic rooms.

But it is true that the attic room wasn't doing very much. After a while I found that when the answer is "yes" the area of the last floor is multiplied by 0.6, which assumes that the usable area of the attic room is less due to the pitched roof (this affects to the calculation TFA).

What I was struggling with is that when there is an attic room we were still asking for the loft insulation which I thought doesn't make very much sense. Then with the help of MHEP and SAP "pitched roofs" (p.11) I realized that an attic room (with its own u-value) is equivalent to a roof.

So how the tools works now:

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
