CARLA Simulator Launch Error with NVIDIA RTX 3080 on Ubuntu 20.04 - Seeking Assistance

CARLA version: 0.9.13 RSS

Platform/OS: Ubuntu 20.04 (No VM, Dual Booted, Direct GPU Access)

Problem you have experienced: Upon attempting to launch the CARLA simulator on my system, the application crashes with an error related to BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes), mutex lock failures, and a segmentation fault. This issue prevents the simulator from starting.

What you expected to happen: I expected the CARLA simulator to launch successfully without any errors, allowing me to simulate and test autonomous driving scenarios.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Ensure that NVIDIA graphics drivers and OpenGL are correctly installed and up to date.
  2. Navigate to the CARLA directory.
  3. Execute ./CarlaUE4.sh to launch the simulator.
  4. Observe the terminal output, which includes a BadMatch error, mutex lock failure, and eventually a segmentation fault, leading to the application crashing.

Error Message:

4.26.2-0+++UE4+Release-4.26 522 0
Disabling core dumps.
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)

Other information:

I appreciate any guidance or solutions to resolve this issue and successfully launch CARLA on my system. Thank you!
