fixed in 20121107-NIGHTLY and a factory reset

Sorry about the misleading comment above. This is not working still.
The camera app sometimes start OK and sometimes gets stuck and reboots by
itself or gets stuck and won't let you do anything unless you reboot (by long
pressing the power button)

Can you provide a logcat when this happens?

Here are the files I was able to log. It's been kinda hard to log them because
it reboots and stops the logging.
On the other hand, I did a factory reset and formatted the sd card, and
installed the 20121110 with the new gapps, and for now it seems to work.
I noticed that the camera stopped working after I did a titanium restore. So I
believe that caused it not to work.

I am encountering this issue in the Stock camera on the 11/17/2012 Nightly on
the Stock camera, but I'm not able to consistently reproduce it. However, I am
also able to re-create a similar issue in the leaked Android 4.2 camera by
taking a close-up picture using flash. Obviously I do not expect the leaked
camera to be supported by the CM10 team, I figured since I could replicate it,
I'd go ahead and take a logcat, just in case the two issues are somehow related.
The logcat is attached, starting from a fresh boot on the lock screen. Here is
what I did:
1. Opened Android 4.2 camera from lockscreen shortcut
2. Moved phone close to object in near-total darkness with auto-flash enabled
3. Took a picture. The flash stays on for about 5 seconds, then the screen
appears corrupted.
4. Pressing home or back (this particular logcat used back) will force a reboot
I hope this helps! If I'm able to replicate with the stock camera, I will post
another log.

Attaching a second file. I wasn't able to cause the phone to lock-up
completely, but I did get the Stock camera app to crash to a point where it
wouldn't start again without a reboot. Again, I am just hoping I can provide
enough information to track down the root cause.
Thanks for everything!

I was finally able to replicate it while doing a logcat, though the steps I
used to reproduce it aren't working now.
Basically I:
1. Unlocked the phone in portrait
2. Tapped the camera icon in portrait
3. Quickly moved the phone into landscape orientation
This caused a hard-lock-up in the app drawer. logcat is attached. Wasn't able
to get a last kmsg, as it wasn't there...maybe because I hard rebooted instead
of waiting for the phone?

I actually have been encountering this problem as well using CM-10.0 Stable.
It seems to be hit or miss and it must be throwing it into some infinite loop
calculation because the machine will get noticably warm to touch within a min.
(if you don't manually reset it sooner) and at minimum upon reboot I notice a
5-10% battery drop based upon the graph of battery over time through the
settings menu. I came to the stable rom directly from stock with a full wipe
etc so i don't believe it is an object of flashing restores or remains from
previous roms/versions of roms.
I do not know how to get a logcat as I am in the newbee circle, but I will
research how to do this and can try to provide the log if you need it.
I can also confirm the system freeze seems to be random.... sometimes accessing
the camera goes off without a hitch... sometimes a few seconds delay...
sometimes a total lock up... and if you use the flash I've also seen it hang at
the flash and delay by ~5 seconds before snapping the picture... other times it
will work fine.... usually the proper working experience occurs more frequently
when the phone has been freshly rebooted and the trouble comes when the phone
has been on for a longer period of time.
Thanks for your help and rom.. this rom is awesome!!!
