Delay when turning screen on with power button

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Push power button on phone while the screen is off.
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When pressing the power button, the display should turn on.  I see a delay of 
almost 2 seconds when pushing the power button.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
CM 10.1 with 3.4 kernal.  6.23 Build.

Please provide any additional information below.

I noticed this as well and the bad part is, my power button is flaky to begin 
with so I never know if the phone will turn on or not.
