Audio breaks after placing phone call #82

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Wipe system, data, all cache
2. Flash cm-10-20120831-NIGHTLY-evita.zip
3. Place phone call and notice no sound in headset and toggling to speaker
freezes app (note: using SIP account to place call).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Typical OS audio functionality persists after phone call.
Observed: No system audio after hanging up phone call. Phone application
crashes when trying to launch a second time to place a second phone call.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
cm-10-20120831-NIGHTLY-evita.zip

Please provide any additional information below.
I don't have actual phone number (data only plan), however I feel this is
unrelated since other users in forum are discussing same issue. Thanks H8!

Confirmed. This is SIP bug. Does not affect regular cellular calls. Only
SIP.

Let me know if you need SIP account for testing. I can build one real quick.
Not a problem.

Please try this in the next nightly (assuming the headphones fix is fixed). Its
difficult for me to test SIP, but i saw alot of recent work with VOIP in
mainline.

I tried 9-05 and the call worked fine, but Talkatone crashes after the
call...hmm...it's someone usable now, but after the call everything freezes and
requires a reboot. :( so now i'm rebooting for every call...

also would like to add that placing call and handset then switching to speaker
results in no audio and phone app locks up. then contacts app stops
responding.. system audio persists thereafter.

Still relying on 9/6 build for stable functionality here. All builds after
this seem to have data call issues. Just completed fresh install of 9/27
build. Data calls only work with via earphones plugged into headphone jack.
Using handset or speaker results in no audio while call timer continues
counting. Difficulty ending call when experiencing this bug (press hangup
button multiple times, leave the phone app, call may remain in progress in
background, but still no audio). Intermittent phone app crashing immediately
thereafter. System-wide audio may recover, but often device needs full system
reboot to get things up and running again.

I really do apologize for the delay. VOIP is jacked up right now (as you are
reporting). However we had to update kernel so we can update the audio goodies
so we can update the VOIP stuff. Its on the plate as all three devices are
suffering this.
