Mac - Can't Change Default "Open With..." Status to

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Any notes.eof > Get Info > Open With...
2. Change default (FoFiX in my case) to EOF
3. Change All...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Should make all .eof files open in EOF, but shows unexpected finder error.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

EOF 1.8RC10, OS X 10.9.5

Please provide any additional information below.

Default app to open .eof files is FoFiX for some reason, but (obviously) FoFiX 
can't open them.

I can't really help without any two-way communication, but this is clearly not 
an issue with EOF itself.
