Yes they are, but without a visual feedback it is hard to be sure as a "simple user" 😇
I just test it on Brave browser and it works as expected 🤔 Do you have used any special configuration?

I found the issue in one of the extensions I use: Stylish. The exact issue is not in the extension itself but in a theme I applied with it It is putting a little piece of code in every website I visit and is somehow affecting the html document.🤯

I am using Brave as my daily browser and the notifications don't work.
Here is the error I get in the console when I click on an emoji:
tried it on chrome and firefox, there it is OK.
Hope you'll find a workaround...
