cast OVER me #111

She cast her fragrance and radiance OVER me. lpp_8 sent_id = lpp_1943.427

There's fictive motion, but also the object being affected by the casting (similar to casting a spell ON someone) - tentatively tried to capture both with Experiencer\~Direction?

This is highly figurative verbal metaphor. If we try really hard to describe the target domain I can see that it involves someone experiencing a sensation of smell and...whatever experience is induced by radiance. But it seems like a stretch to say that this is what "OVER" specifically is doing. I would lean toward just annotating the source domain.

Jena & I: What's clear is that the smell ended up on me. That is what the sentence profiles. The smelling event is not directly expressed (though we could further infer that the speaker then smells the fragrance, or that somebody else then smells the fragrance on the speaker).
