Reconsidering: does BACK mean 'again' here, or does it mean returning (i.e. come back to the virtual space)?

I don't want to be in a position of splitting hairs with come/go back (on vacation, to school, etc.) as being spatial vs. aspectual.

Maybe BACK is specifically aspectual change-of-state VPCs:

sit BACK down wake BACK up ('wake up again', or 'return to wakefulness'?) take the garbage BACK out ('take it out again (like you did last week)', or 'return it to being outside'?)

*make BACK up a story
