At Stanford, we got started developing lessons around imaging for biologists and physician-scientists in 2017. Working with a team of course design TAs and Greg, we developed a set of 4 lessons. We delivered the 4 lessons over 4 class sessions, but they could be reorganized into a 2-day workshop. Please check out the initial lessons at https://github.com/DataLucence/images. We are in the process of reviewing what worked and what didn't and will be posting issues in the next few weeks.
@mbgoodman - We've just created The Carpentries Incubator GH organization to provide a single point of entry for community members to share lesson materials and discuss ideas for new lessons. Your lesson materials were previously listed in the lesson-ideas repo, which has now been deprecated. All of the issues in that repo have been migrated here. We're still working on organizing this repo, so please do let me know if you have ideas for how best to organize this information to make it accessible to the community.
There is general interest in lessons around imaging. Some will be general around imaging, but other content ideas might be more domain specific for particular types of images.
