trying to fix paths to work locally + online #12

I believe going all the way up to docs breaks the paths.

I simplified them as much as I could without breaking it locally, hopefully this will also work upstream.

What does this mean? If you have source files that require output and figures to be generated (e.g. R Markdown), then it is important to make sure the generated figures and output are reproducible.
