We are experimenting with using remote themes. Instead of having the files for the theme in the lesson repository, they will be hosted in a separate, dedicated repository which will make updates and maintenance easier. This PR makes the necessary changes to use the remote theme and few other changes to bring the pages up to the new expectations for variables in newer versions of themes.
