Teaching tools/practices beyond participatory live coding

Some topics that are not currently in the materials but are worth a mention -- all the other "supporting" tools we can/do use besides code-along. For example:

• “Poll” programs (like socrative, plickers, pollanywhere)
• Slides (for images, exercises)
• Whiteboard/Chalkboard
• Handouts etc.

Is this too much information or would it be helpful to add? If so, where?

I think it would be worth it to add supporting tools as an additional resource and can be an opportunity to create discussion between members about which tools have worked for them.

For me the point of the Carpentries is to have support and resources to become a better teacher so I think having a whole section on teaching tools would be valuable instead of having these tools sprinkled in to different sections. I think something like this could be found on the carpentries main page under "Resources for Online Workshops" since these tools are universal for all topics.
