restore blog block to front page #48

Adding a short post about conference social channels, as well as adding blog post block to the front page. This will help get ready for blog post on proposal submissions and session types, and submissions link, which is planned for tomorrow.

You can hold on the merge. The next blog post is supposed to be ready today. When it's ready I'll push another PR

All has been added in #49 - I'm not sure if there is an overlap between this one (48) and 49, but there should not be any conflicts
