Proposal: Lesson Development Sprint Lounge #23

Open brownsarahm opened 4 years ago

brownsarahm commented 4 years ago

Title of the session: Lesson Development Lounge

Session details

Abstract

very rough idea, welcome feedback

It would be nice to have a zoom meeting setup that could be used for either drop-in or scheduled informal, synchronous chats during any lesson development sprints that occur.

If the host key is available (eg via slack or topicbox or ?) people can split off into breakout rooms as needed.

Personal details

Is there any help you would like to invite from the community? Please provide below in bullet points.

Hi @brownsarahm, the organising committee reviewed this session proposal and had this to say:

We recommend session leads to add details on where they needs help from community members in designing this session. A few more details on the prerequisite and expected outcome will be helpful for attendees to decide what to get out of this session.

Thanks Sarah!

Thanks @serahrono It would be helpful to know if there are other sprints planned during CarpentryCon and then I can work to flesh out this idea a little more.

Also possible direction @angela-li? Maybe this could be somehow incorporated with the maintainer community?

There are five sprints slated to take place during CarpentryCon @ Home @brownsarahm, see https://github.com/carpentrycon/carpentryconhome-proposals/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3A%22session+sprint%22

@brownsarahm it looks like this would be more of a range on the calendar than a discrete event, right?
