It should be possible to get around this issue within Dream Textures, but I don't think it's necessary with Blender 3.5.1 being released soon. If this issue somehow still persists in 3.5.1 I recommend reopening this and creating a fix for it.
This is caused by a blender bug that should be fixed for 3.5.1 and out soon.
Anyone using Blender 3.5 can alternatively create a UV map on each object being projected onto named
Projected UVs
and make sure it is selected before projecting.
