CMake Error - Could not find a package configuration ... cartographer_ros_msgsConfig.cmake #1688

Hi I followed the exact step by step procedure suggested at https://google-cartographer-ros.readthedocs.io/en/latest/compilation.html to build the cartographer package, i've been trying to fix this error since two days, any help is very much appreciated.

Reproduce this error by running:

You can try to remove cartographer and cartographer_ros, compile cartographer_ros_msgs first, and then add them after the completion of cartographer_ros_msgs compilation.

cartographer_ros_msgs package compiles by itself but when i add the other packages the same error repeats.
