Project is abandoned? #461

This hasn't been updated since 2 years ago. I assume this project is abandoned. Any alternatives?

Hey it's only been 1.5 years! But of course, your point remains. 😄

I've been pretty much the sole contributor, and I have not had much time to focus on it in a while. So I would not say abandoned, but possibly on hiatus until I can dedicate time to it again.

There are other IntelliJ plugins for Haskell; however, I cannot vouch for any of their usability.

Ideally, we'd be able to get together a team of people to help maintain and develop features for such a plugin so it would not fall on a single person.

They're are only two Haskell plugins for IntelliJ - this one, and (I can't recall it's name). Both are broken and unmaintained for two years (ok maybe 1.5 ;) or more.

I gave up on Haskell plugins for IntelliJ, and switched to VS Code, which has excellent plugins and works fine with Haskell LSP.

I've been out of the Haskell loop for a (long) while, but saw this pop up in my notifications.

The paid versions of IntelliJ/PyCharm/etc has recently gotten some kind of support (from JetBrains) for LSP. I haven't looked into the details, but using Haskell LSP for some of the heavy lifting might reduce the maintenance burden of this plugin.

I am not a stakeholder so I don't want to influence the outcome in either direction, but if Haskell LSP could work as interim solution until a team of maintainers can be established, it might be worth considering if restricting the plugin to only work on the paid JetBrains products is preferable over the current situation. I have not followed things closely, but I have not seen any indications that JetBrains wish to include LSP support in the community editions.
