In this talk, I'll talk about TypeScript 1.0 and it's focus on developers getting a rich development story for JavaScript development. I'll give an overview of the TypeScript language and show a bit of how the tools allow users to get useful errors and intellisense with minimal effort.

Jonathan Turner is a Program Manager at Microsoft, working on the TypeScript language on the JavaScript Language Tools team. We're working on high quality tooling for both JavaScript and TypeScript. Prior to join Microsoft, he worked on other programming languages including a stint at Apple working on Clang/LLVM and a Cray working on the Chapel programming language.
