Hosted at the Beedie School of Business in Vancouver, Canada, CaseIT brings together top business students and distinguished faculty members from around the globe, experienced industry professionals, and dedicated Simon Fraser University students to collectively challenge conventional thinking, redefine the boundaries of business and technology, and build global connections. The competition week provides a rigorous platform to test students' critical business case analysis capabilities, challenge students to think creatively while balancing constraints, and to empower students to present with confidence in front of esteemed industry professionals on an international stage.

COMPETITION STRUCTURE
CaseIT is the world's premier international management information systems case competition, occurring each year in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Canada. CaseIT, hosted by the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, will be taking place from February 16-21, 2020. Sixteen teams from around the globe will be invited to partake in this multi-case competition to showcase their case analysis abilities on an international stage.
SIX DAYS OF COMPETITION
CaseIT 2020 spans across six days from Sunday, February 16 - Friday, February 21, 2020. CaseIT will welcome teams from all over the world to experience our beautiful city of Vancouver and to put their skills to the test for more days than ever before!
MULTI-CASE COMPETITION FORMAT
Teams will be challenged during the competition week to showcase their versatility and adaptability through multiple rounds of business cases.
PRELIMINARY ROUND ONE
Short Case
On Tuesday, February 18th, teams showcase their ability to perform under pressure with a five-hour case. Teams that place first within their division for this case automatically qualify for the Wildcard Round.
PRELIMINARY ROUND TWO
Long Case
On Wednesday, February 19th, teams begin deliberations for the long case. Competitors will have 24 hours to deliberate, and then an additional 24 hours of preparation time prior to presenting their solutions to industry professionals on Friday, February 21st. Winning teams will advance to the Finals Presentations.
WILDCARD ROUND
5-Minute Pitch
On Friday, February 21st, teams qualifying for the Wildcard Round will compete in a rapid-fire, 5-minute pitch of their long case solution to industry professionals. The team that places first in the Wildcard Round advances to the Finals Presentations.
FINAL PRESENTATIONS
Long Case Re-Presentation
The Finals Presentations showcase the top five teams' case solving capabilities. The qualified teams re-present their long case solution to a new panel of judges during the Finals Presentations. The winning team of the Finals Presentations is declared the CaseIT 2020 Champions.
