This PR builds on PR 2, and is intended to demonstrate effects of validation. The first patch is expected to fail CI.

Prefixes have been update in all examples and in the parser code

I just ran a catch-up merge and confirmed the implementation matches mine (modulo some line ordering). Closing this PR as superseded.
