add linear model to chapter 1 #7

Add linear model to chapter 1 as example of relationshoip between observed values (y), unobserved values (x), model, and model parameters.

I added this to chapter 3. Once first class is over, move it to chapter 1. Maybe move maps analogy to chapter 1 as well.
